Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion

Hanger Hall Equity Statement

We are committed to cultivating, respecting, and celebrating a culture of diversity and inclusion to enable our students, faculty, and staff to achieve their full potential. We believe that everyone's unique life experience and background adds valuable perspective to our community, and that our community is stronger because of the differences represented by our students, faculty, staff, and families. To create a more vibrant and equitable school community, we strive to achieve inclusiveness through the composition and actions of our board of directors, faculty, staff and student body.

Our goal is to educate students and empower them to thrive and make a difference in their communities, by acknowledging, understanding, and embracing diversity in all its forms regardless of gender identity, social expression and socioeconomic status.

Statement on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Hanger Hall School supports racial and social justice at our school and the broader community by cultivating a culture that pursues a deeper understanding of one another. We recognize that white supremacy, sexism, classism, xenophobia, ableism and gender discrimination are built into the very fabric of our society – constants that indelibly color the lives of millions on a daily basis. We aim to convert intention into positive action through honest reflection, critical dialogue and a willingness to do the work – both confronting these truths and building a world where they no longer exist.
