About the LGBTQ+ Club at Hanger Hall

The LGBTQ+ Club at Hanger Hall is a student-led organization that provides support and community for folks who identify as LGBTQ+ and their allies.

An Important Message From the LGBTQ+ Club

Why we do what we do!

We believe that it's really important to create an open and welcoming community, and we want to make sure we are doing that at our school. Anyone can join including allies and it has really become a place you go and just be yourself and know you have a place without any judgment.

There are a lot of struggles for people in the LGBTQ+ community so we need to make sure they are seen and know they are not alone. We also think it's a great way to show people who are looking to come to hanger hall thats its a place that will except you for you no matter what.

What happens at the LGBTQ+ Club?
  • We have discussions surrounding our LGBTQ+ experiences
  • We do research on the LGBTQ+ community
  • We bring awareness to LGBTQ+ issues, vocabulary, facts, and history by designing and updating a bulletin board at the school that anyone can read and experience
  • We invite and host guest speakers at our meetings
  • We laugh a lot!

Our Future Plans Include
  • Organizing fundraisers for important LGBTQ+ organizations and causes, such as a bake sale
  • Recruitment at Hanger Hall to grow the club
