Erin Connors has worked in independent schools since 2001, after a two-year stint teaching English in Austria. Prior to her current work as a freelance academic coach and curriculum editor, she taught German, history, and English at middle and upper school levels, and served in a variety of administrative positions.
Originally from Minnesota, Erin moved to Asheville with math teacher and tech gizmo extraordinaire Varghese Alexander immediately after their wedding in 2007. She holds a B.A. from Amherst College and a Master’s in Social Science from Syracuse University. The two Alexander children, ages 8 & 10, attend Hall Fletcher Elementary, where Erin is also actively involved. She recently competed in her first triathlon and is learning how to write a book proposal.
