In order to ensure the most qualified student body for Hanger Hall, we accept applications in two rounds, first in the fall and again in the spring. The process of applying to Hanger Hall is as follows.
Application Checklist
- Completion and submission of the parents’ application
- Submission of $25 application fee (check made out to Hanger Hall)
- Completion and submission of the teacher’s recommendation form
- Prospective Student Visit
- Evaluation of language arts and math skills
- Interview between parents and Admissions Director
- Recent photo of your daughter
After each application deadline, our administrators and teachers work together to evaluate each individual student and determine whether or not Hanger Hall is a good fit. After a thorough evaluation, qualified applicants are either accepted or placed into the wait pool.
The deadline for the first round of applications for the 2009-2010 school year is November 7, 2008. In the event that we receive more applications than available spaces, the remainder of applicants will be placed into a wait pool. We will inform applicants of their status by early December.
A second round of applications will be accepted until February 6, 2009. At this time new applicants along with any applicants in the wait pool will be considered for acceptance into the remaining spaces of the class. We will inform applicants of their status by early March. If any space should become available after March 1 we will then look to the remaining applicants in the wait pool.
Prospective Student Visit
Each applicant is required to visit the school for one full day. They will shadow a current student in order to experience a typical day at Hanger Hall. They will meet the student body and faculty, and be evaluated for language arts and math skills.
Select Mondays have been set aside for Prospective Student Visits. In order to avoid too much distraction for our students and faculty, we only allow a small number of visitors each Monday. Therefore, it is imperative that you let us know as soon as possible which day your daughter would like to join us. Prospective Student Visit days for the 2008-2009 school year are as follows:

Tuition
Tuition at Hanger Hall is $8000 per year. A deposit of $400 is expected at the time of acceptance. The remainder is due on July 1st, six weeks prior to the start of school. Students may be enrolled mid-year with prorated tuition.
