Curriculum

The curriculum at Hanger Hall reflects our emphasis on strong academics, creativity and personal growth. The program covers all requirements of the state of North Carolina and much, much more. Students experience a wide variety of learning opportunities through hands-on projects, field trips, and dramatic presentations.  All girls participate in service projects throughout the community.

In everything from PE to writing, strength and independence are emphasized. The girls at Hanger Hall study languages all three years, along with art and theater. They study ancient civilizations and have created their own archaeological digs. They learn math and science in the classroom and then apply that knowledge outside. Field trips and class trips greatly enhance their in –the-classroom learning.   Our challenging academic program includes:

Humanities (history, geography, literature and writing)
Science (including weekly labs)
Math (pre algebra, algebra)
Foreign language (French or Spanish)
Computer Skills

On five beautifully landscaped acres of campus, the girls spend many clear days outside. And, with such small class sizes, no one gets ignored or lost in the shuffle.
