Growing up in the sweltering heat of Dothan, Alabama, I am very relieved to call the refreshing mountains of western North Carolina my home. In December of 2010 I graduated from Brevard College with an Integrated Studies degree with emphases in Experiential Education and Communication and a minor in Women and Leadership Studies. I believe in the immense power of empowering young women to be effective leaders. Through facilitating diverse experiences, comprehensive health education, and honest self-reflection I know every young women can succeed.
When I’m not at Hanger Hall you can usually find me walking about with my pups, making silly music on the ukulele, or hiking in Pisgah. Some of my other passions are studying wilderness medicine, and playing forward for the Asheville Women’s Rugby Team. This is my first year as the athletics instructor, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of the Hanger Hall family.
